Anything to lose for taking speeding ticket to court?

Was pulled over for 82 in a 65. I have the option to plead no contest, take the 4 hour driver improvement class and pay my ticket. Do I have anything to lose by just taking it to court? If the officer shows up, I'll tell the judge that because I'm a full time student and work full time I would like an extension on the 60 days to complete the class, and if the officer doesn't show up then I assume the ticket gets dismissed?

dont count on the officer missing the court date as they are cepina'd to show up most of the time. but try asking to withold points, its worth a shot

You can be given court fee's on top of the fine.

Just fight it, cross your fingers for the no show, but if your record is fairly clean, the judge should at least grant you an extension (ask for 6 months) and he/she may even withhold the points/adjudication. The only downside will be the added court fees, which are usually around $30.

When you type something incorrectly, there will be a squiggly red line underneath the word. If you right click on the word, it will provide you with options of correctly spelled words that it thinks you are trying to spell. But you butchered the word so much that it wouldn't have a clue what you were really trying to write, lol.

You can go to court and just ask for a withhold and you may be able to get away with not having to take the class depending on your driving record.

depending on the county they go up to $225

Yeah IE fails for A LOT of people but it works fine for me. My spelling on the other hand could always use some help lol

Ticket attorney. You pay a fee (anywhere between $80 to $125) and they go to court for you and can usually get no points and sometimes get it dismissed.
