insurance question

hey guys i was in a small fender bender a couple weeks ago and i recieved a letter from the lady's insurance company its says

"please be advised our coverage investigation is now complete. our investigation revealed that our policy was not in effect for the above captioned loss."

im not exactly sure what the last part means.. could anyone clear that up for me?

also it shows all the lady's info not mine..

It means the lady who hit you didnt have insurance and now you have to go after her, or go through your insurance which will go after her.

i guess she is trying to claim through her insurance or something. but she has no insurance. was a police report filed?

yes, there was. and yes she did the letter shows her claim number and whatnot.. so im guessing she thought she had insurance lol

she probably will be going through your insurance next. but if she is not aware the bill could be split. which means she will still have to pay

well it was up to insurance to decide who was at fault cause it happened at a publix parking lot. at least that's what the cop said.. but if she doesnt have insurance then wtf.. lol thanks for clearing up the letter btw.
