E36 as a daily driver

can any 2 door non ti owners tell me how it is to drive. mainly I want to know what the blind spots are like and such. is the interior pretty much the same specs as a ti model? I'm just wondering as I am only familiar with ghetto bmw's 318ti. With the money I am making now I am sorta looking into new cars and a 2 door e36 is one of my options. not nessecarily now but within a year. need lots of time to make a final decision on what my 3rd car should be.

other things that you could tell me are some things like are all the buttons within arms reach and properly placed? if your has a sun roof, is everything placed correctly?.... tell me whatever you can

Standard 318/323/325/328s are a good Touring cars

Good engines,
good suspensions
good drivetrains

as a daily BMW can go 150-200K miles easy

Some are going 250+k miles now on Orignal engines.

99/00 323is in Texas are $17k-22k, check ebay for these.

95 325is w/ the ODB I M50B25 will have good power, good gas milage for a Six.
overall good handling, and most of it can be changed over from a M3 with little problem.

Interior layouts for BMW are made with the driver in mind. Most buttons are easy to see and reach.

The 318ti has the worst interior some say. but I like.

that wasnt really what I was looking for. I'm really looking for any info that I wouldnt normally be able to find on the net. mostly I just want to hear some experiences in the daily traffic. the 318ti has too many blind spots for a guy my height (5'-7") the back looks higher than the other models so I am wondering if the other models have less of a blind spot.

oh and from what I hear you have cloth interior in yours. I can understand why some people wouldnt like it. the leather interior in bmws is SO much nicer. Thats one of the reasons why I am looking into this as a daily driver.

I'd say just go to some of the meets, I never go but I think there is at least one e36 there .. right?

And damn you for potentially out doing me! ::haha::

Yeah, I have never driven any other bmw than my own but I have heard that the seat positioning is different by like an inch or something leading to more comfort in the non ti's.. yeah i dont know about the blind spots, i'd imagine it being better on a non ti

you know for a fact that with my schedule I cant make it to a meet. and all this is just a maybe. gotta have options.
