Just wondering if anyone has one of these here in Orlando. I would like to rent/use one for a few days if at all possible!

did u call sound advice yesterday by any chance? btw, the 9887 has a bad ass eq on it. u don't need the imprint to use it tho.
I stopped by there yesterday. I was set on the 9885 until I tried it out and found it was really hard to navigate. I thought it would have more features. I should be getting the 9887 in a week or so.
I heard the EQ on the 9887 would lock you out if you did not have the Imprint.
9887 is a pita to navigate...and u can eq, but it's a pita as well. it's an actual 7 band eq if i remember correctly but it's soo slow.
nope i don't know about the kenwood. the only kenwood units we carry are the tv/nav stuff. no 1din headunits from them. we carry most alpine and premier.
I tried out the 9887 today, and I am able to deal with the menu structure. I guess the question is, do I really need the Imprint for it to sound good?
if you're still running on hu power..then no. :(. if u have multiple amps, then there's a lot u can do with it.
I have the CDA9887 and imprint running off of head unit power for the time being. It made a dramatic difference in sound (night and day difference). It automatically calculates time correction and sets up the eq for you (there are three curves you can choose from once you run the program). It does however lock you out of the EQ adjustments once the imprint is turned on. If you want to tweak it, you can turn off the imprint with the touch of a button.
^ Let me know if I can use your Imprint setup for a day or so....
that cda9887 is the best radio on the market beside the dehp800prs i would do any other radio beside the pioneer hands down
