sams club or bjs

I'm thinking about getting a membership at either sams club or bjs. a lot of people i know have bj memberships. the only sams club people i know are my parents. what are your thoughts on the stores? is there a difference besides the membership price?

I think BJ's is a little bit more expensive. Have you considered Costco as well?

I do not know of a costco in my area. Im in sanford and have bjs and sams club right next to me.

closest costco to you is 436/434 store. The BJ's there is probably the better place to hit than sams.

i think they offer a free 30 day pass, try all 3 out and see which you like the best.

Bj's > Sam's

The fact that Sam's is part of walmart is enough to make me not go there.

I personally shop at Costco.

sam's is 3/4 mile from my house....costco is 4-6 depending on which one I go to.....I have costco.

thanks for everyones input. i just went to sams and applied. its right down the street from me and maybe next year ill go with bjs and try it out.

I got BJ's and there beef is well priced and very good. They also have a liquor store next to it for CHEAP alcohol to entertain. Also tho- u don't need a BJ's card to get liquor from the liquor part, anyone is welcome. I don't think the general population is aware of that.

sams stocks a bit more of the industrial cleaning supplies i use for my business so i switched from bjs to there this year. other than that,not much different to me...its a store,with stuff to buy.
