How do you transport your bike?

I have to take the front wheel off and put that in the trunk while putting the rest of the bike in the backseat of the car. It barely fits in there so I am looking for a better way to transport my mtn bike.

I'm looking at the ones that mount to the back of the trunk. I don't have a hitch thing on my car.

FYI before I parted it out and began restoring the frame again that bike was worth more than many of the cars on OF.

My bike fits just fine in my little hatchback:

I've got a bike rack on the gf's sedan but when I ride solo, here is my setup. Rode out to the trails (12 mile round trip) yesterday. Removed the passenger seat and the bike is secured at the fork and bungee cords at the bottom.
