Ceiling fan over the dining room table

Wife wants a ceiling fan over our dining room table. I say it looks (BTLS) Der Der. But I would like to have a poll. Or thoughts

Ive seen fans over dining tables, if its the right fan it can look okay , but using it while eating makes food cold fast, not the best idea.

I have never seen a fan over the dinner table. First time for everything.

A fancy one ... because usually its a chandelier or something classy over the dining room table , so if you can find a classy/elegant fan you can probably pull it off

She grew up with one in every house she lived in. Must be a west coast thing. Well I put it up, ill post pictures. It looks out of place to me. What can go up can come down. Lol.

Happy wife = happy life.

Just do it because it will make her happy. When wives are happy they don't complain (as much).

Clean your fan blades once a month to keep the dust out of your diet.

I just thought about if the table is used for card playing, monopoly, f'ing the wife, etc then yes turn on the fan....

LOL this reminds me of a funny story about a fan in one of my old Apts. i had a girl over and were eating dinner, and she asks me to turn the fan on because its a little warm... well its the fan above the table which I NEVER turn on, and as soon as I did, all kinds of dust and crap started to fall in her hair and food....

needless to say I didn't score that night.
