I'd like to do some debt consolidation, but MY credit is not good enough to get the appropriate loan at a decent interest rate.
I would obviously needa co-signer with very good credit. The main reason I am looking to group everythingtogether is to reduce interest costs on a few student loans i have taken out.
I have pretty much set my eyes on a Personal Loan from Capital one. This would take care of my credit cards, 4 private student loans, and my remaining car payment.
The Loan amount would be 30K over 7 years. I'd prefer this route because my student loans are the majority of the amount and they are spread out over 20-25 years, depending on the lender. Given the worst possible interest rate they offer (12%), I'd still be saiving about $200 in minimums a month.
If someone would like to co-sign for me I'd pay you $1500 for the trouble. Once I have the funds I will give you cash. I know this is something that takes some consideration and is nothing to mess around with. I'd have whomever sit down with me at my home to fill out the paperwork.
Here is what I am considering http://www.capitalone.com/personalloans/why00.php
I would try my parents, but their recent divorce has ruined their credit.
