Anyone know anything about RP Funding. They claim to be cheaper on mortgage closing costs so I would like to know if anyone has any experience with them or know someone who has

I do not, I wish I would have seen them when I went for my loan though. With no fees and guaranteed best rates, I'm sure they only accept the highest credit. Looks solid.

They look like a well established company. I see they have a A- with BBB since 2007.

I would encourage you to read more about us - we really do save clients thousands of dollars.

We have a number of clients who have shared their experience working with RP Funding on the web. I can't post links here as a new member - but if you search "RP Funding Ratepoint" or our facebook page you can find customer reviews.

We really do offer Zero Lender Fees and the Guaranteed Lowest Rate.

85% of our clients start the process with another lender or broker and transfer to us because of the savings. When other lenders are losing volume, we are growing very quickly because we are offering what it best for our borrowers.

If for some reason you decide not to give us a try, I would encourage you to shop around. You should get a minimum of 3 quotes to make sure you are getting the best deal.

        Thanks!

Yes, on 540 RP Funding sponsors the Real Estate Radio Now show from 11-12 on Saturdays. I try to make it into the studio with them every few weeks. I was out of town for Easter 2 weeks ago, last week I as in Winter Park with Clark Howard for his "Clark in the Park" event that we sponsored, and this weekend I will be out of town for Mothers Day.

I should be back on the air the following weekend, May 14th. I am also looking at a few other shows that would like me to participate and possibly having my own show.

              Robert Palmer,

My Wife and I had a great experience with your company. We would have never found or even thought about using your company if it was not brought up onto OF. It was a last minute decision to call your company after we found out the lending company we were using fell off the face of the earth. It was do or do not buy our first house. And your company went above and way beyond!! Mr. John Bennett needs a pat on the back and lunch with the BOSS man (YOU). Because he made it so easy for us and answer every question we had. He is one employee you should be proud of. I know we are and will recommend your company to all of our Friends and Family.

              Thank you….. J and T

                I Would Not Recommend Them

I assist in the real estate industry and have been a part of helping over 30 closings happen over the last 2 years alone. A home buyer just recently told the person I assist that he wanted to use RPFunding. The company stated everything they do in their ad and told all parties their would no issue and closing could happen within 2 weeks. Closing was scheduled to take place last thursday, RPFunding wired the money, and then RPFunding stopped the closing about 20 minutes before it was to take place because of a mistake on their part. It still has yet to close. The buyer, the seller, the title company all are doing extra work with little or no communication from RPFunding. It is unreal to say the least.

Mr. Palmer, I was searching to see what other's have had as an experience and wish I could provide a positive review. I can't. It's not because a problem occurred. That is normal with any business. What I judge a company on is the ownership they take over that problem and the resolution they produce taking the customer in mind. Your company has not demonstrated that at all.

All I can say is buyer beware.

                  Beware!

I had a terrible experience with this company much like the original poster had. We reached out to RP Funding to see about a new VA loan. They approved us told us to find a house. After months of searching we had already found our dream house. We quickly submitted an offer along with a $1000.00 dollar escrow payment. We received the good faith estimate from RP, signed and they approved us at 4.5%. They ordered the appraisal, which we had to come out of pocket for $475.00. The appraisal came back good so we proceeded. We received an email from our contact at RP Tom Hamlin stating that we were 100% approved pending 2 conditions; a termite inspection and well certification. We again came out of pocket $100.00 dollars for the termite inspection and $85.00 for the well certification. Upon emailing our contact back I received an automated email stating he is our of the country. I then scramble to contact someone else at the company since I was only 1 week from closing. I finally get ahold of Ingrid and Tina. They tell me that they are still reviewing and need more paperwork. Then with 4 days till my close date they turned down my loan! They admitted fault and that they should have never said we were 100% approved when we were not. They offered to pay me for the appraisal and inspection. I advised them that the 25 day contingency for financing on my purchase contract had expired AFTER they told me I was 100%. I am now out my $1000.00 dollar escrow payment and they are refusing to re-pay me the money. Not only did I lose out on the house of my dreams just in time for the holidays, but now I am out a thousand dollars and scrounging to find a new place to live before Christmas. Thanks alot RP Funding, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am a Iraq war veteran, and I did not spend 15 months in Iraq getting shot at and blown up just to come back and be treated like this. By the way not only did you ruin thanksgiving for me and my family, our supposed closing date was the day before my wife's birthday and now that is ruined. Oh and try explaining to my little 3 year old daughter that we wont have a new house for Christmas.

                  Sincerely,

Not sure if kazi221 is serious but just because you served in a war doesnt entitle you to a home loan and everyone bending over backwards to you.

You can go through the uso and the armed forces bank (name slips my mind) and get your va loan without hitch. that 4.5% is alot too. If you're looking for a home loan shoot me a pm if your serious.

RP Funding failed to inform a friend of mine regarding "townhomes"... she did not know that condos are NOT LIKELY to get funding and they even insinuated she had LIED to them regarding her CONDO... this, of course, AFTER they collected $375 for a survey. Watch out for these guys... I think their business is COLLECTING SURVEY FEES FROM UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS! At any rate, their staff is woefully lacking in experience and knowledge. BUYER BEWARE!
