True hot rodder keeps true to the roots. Ford motor in a Ford car, Chevy gets GM motors, etc. You don't cross pollinate engines. Hot Rodders build up the factory motors as well. And if you do engine swaps, it's bigger, not smaller.

Um....Didn't the mustang come with a two point something inline six ? And technically the RB25 is a "bigger" motor.

- Ayrton Senna (1960-1994)On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit and you go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think, ok, this is the limit. As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you realise that you can suddenly go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and your experience as well, you can fly very high.
not saying it isnt true, but that just seems crazy to me..... maby the cars they found in japan were not riced out enough....?Originally Posted by got_trd

does seem odd that they filmed it in Japan but used US cars?

Mustang has had a DOHC V8 under the hood for years. (See Gen 4's Cobra) However putting a Nissan V8 is back to being wrong. And while the Gen Mustang did indeed carry an I6 in base form, the mainstay was a 289 V8, later with the 351, 428, 429. The V6 was the little wifey's base model, along with the shut the f** up you uptight insurance companies versions. (60's time. My soon to be wife is very happy to stomp on the gas.) :)
Whoever did that vehicle and designed it still needs to be thrown screaming from a helicopter to a painful and bloody death.

I dont know if that Nissan motor in the mustang is what you were talking about because thats in inline 6. In the Mustang pictures that I posted it has an RB25 in the Mustang shell which is an inline 6 motor. Not a V8. Or am I missing some?Originally Posted by ShadowLvr400

Someone mentioned putting the Titan's 5.6 DOHC V8 into that Mustang. Aside from being unlikely to fit, it'd still be a crossbreed. Evil.
