My Slow Ass Build Thread.....

Alright im bored and decided to make a build thread for shits and giggles.....

Just keep in mind this is going to be a SLOWWWW build im shooting for this turd to be running again by dec. or possibly Jan. 2011.....

You guys already know what it ran and what the last setup was.....

Ok new setup consists of:

JY 5.3 truck motor
Stock bottom
317 heads
Crane dual springs (650 lift)
MLS gaskets
Stock 02+ LS6 cam
Stock LS6 intake mani
Stock ported tb
ARP rod bolts
ARP headstuds
Spohn solid motor mounts
Meth
Etc.

Turbo setup consists of:

DIY truck manifold setup
2.5 inch mild steel crossover
3inch mild steel dp
38mm wastegate
MPT76
RZ motorsports intercooler

Heres some pics to hold you guys over until i get more stuff ordered....

I also got bored as hell today and decided to do some half ass mock up lol.....

Old heads and new manifolds on.....

Crossover......

And most of the hotside mocked up it looks like i need to notch the stock k-member in order to clear the manifolds.....

And thats about it for now im waiting for my new 317 heads and more parts to arrive and ill snap some shots of those......

Is a single old school tial 38mm gate gonna be enough for that setup? How much boost are you shooting for.

I have been told it will be fine but i wont know until its up and running and as far as boost wise should be between 10-15lbs......

are you going to be running all your accessories on the belt? you aren't going to lower the compression at all? (i forget if the 5.3's have a lower already).. what power levels are you going for?
