I have a 97 chevy suburban 5.7 1500 that is throwing a code p1345. I recently changed the plugs, wires, and cap etc. This code can be a number of things like crank sensor, cam sensor, or distributor timing is off. I am pretty sure its not the crank sensor since it probably wouldnt start if it was that so I am thinking its the cam sensor in the distributor or the distributor timing is off. I was looking at this video and the guy uses a lab scope to set timing when reving the engine past 1k rpm. Is there a way to set the distributor to 0 without a lab scope? Or does anybody have one who can set my timing for cheap? I want to make sure timing is at 0 before I spend money on a sensor I can't return.
