new camaro

one of my teachers told me he's working on the interior for a new camaro, just drawings right now, maybe a show car, he didn't say antyhing about production but i guess the designers are trying to get them to go for one more re-design. thought all u camaro fans might wanna know.

i highly doubt he has much to do with the new "camaro". GM officials havent called the new v8 RWD 2 door coupe the camaro yet, and have been under heavy wraps not to leak anything to the press.

the renderings he showed me said camaro on it. it looked really retro/nostalgic as well(competition for the mustang). i wasn't posting this to stir anything up, i know up till this week i thought the camaro was dead, but if their paying pevovar 50 sum odd dollars to draw pictures of camaro exterior's and interiors then they are probably putting at least a little thought into making another camaro.

but i am not getting stired up, the new camaro was going to be on the zeta platform which was killed, yet they are still planning a new 2door v8 rwd car, but have denied it totally that it is a camaro. imjust saying that i doubt gm would employ anyone to work on such a hush hush project without making them sign a thing telling them to be tight lipped about it

thats a alias model, like autocad except with rendered surfaces, thats a pretty old image as well, probably done by a student, a proffesional model would have more detail.

all the designers are required to be tightlipped about their projects, but when i come into my proffesors office and he has the drawings out on his desk he cant erase it from my memory, and most them aren't going to be jerks about it, its not like their leeking the information to autoweek.

That's an old picture done by a freelance designer, if I remember right a Chris Horton, but not sure on the name. Old, in Popular Hot Rodding mags. Over a year old...

GM will be unveiling a new V8 RWD car soon. Scott Settlemeier (sp?) from GM said this in May at the F-body Gathering in Atlanta. Now, whether or not it would get the name Camaro was still unclear.

it was released that the new rwd v8 will have a retro look (bandwagon) and speculation is it will either be renamed the camaro or chevelle, not for sure but public SPECULATION.

i just saw it in person todfay at the autoshow, its freakin sweet and has alot of details, hopefully they wont be lost as it goes into the production stages.
