Strange Vibration at Certain Speeds

I have a 01 civic and I get this strange vibration going between 60-80mph. Between these speeds I would get small vibrations for 30 secs and after that it would go away for another 30 secs or so then the vibrations would come back again. It would keep going on in this cycle. I believe this is because of a wheel bearing problem. My alignment is also fine. Any suggestions?

Bad tie rods or warped rotors.

Double check that your wheel weight, or anything else you might think could throw off the balance of the two wheels.

Wheel bearings, rotors warped, motor mounts, bad brakes, bent rim, flat spotted tire, low tire pressure, so many things could cause this.

But if it only happens between 60-80mph goes away and comes back over and over again my best guess is your tires need to be balanced big time.

Just FYI- if you have a bad wheel bearing, your alignment is NOT fine...

If it was aligned with a good wheel bearing, that wheel is no longer sitting in the same position with a bad bearing....

If it was aligned with said bad bearing, it was neever aligned right...

*just FYI* if you have any badly worn front end component you cant have a good alignment. bearings/ball joints/tie rod ends/bent rim... Only things listed above that do not skew alignment is out of balance tires or warped rotors...

can you tell if its coming from the front or rear? usually bad wheel bearings will be noisy. if they are, you can test them while driving. (like in a big empty parking lot) jerk the steering wheel left and right, this will isolate the wheel bearing by removing the weight off the wheel assembly and making the noise go away. (again, this will only help if it was noisy). to check for bad balanced wheels, rotate your wheels front to rear and see if the vibration moves. to check bad tie rod ends, jack up the front and grab the wheel while off the ground at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and see how much play you have, there should be very minimal movement, if its jerking around then you got bad tie rods. good luck and hope you find the problem.
