question on my 97 civic wit a 95 d15b7???

ok i got a 97 dx civic wit a d15b7.... i got the car with this motor guessing maybe the other motor went bad. my question is im getting a crankshaft position sensor also know as a crankshaft speed sensor wat can i do so that this code will go away???i belive on these two motors the crankshaft sensor is in too different places correct me if im wrong. this would be a grest help i know somebody must know thanx OF!!!!

d15b7 is a obd1 engine, I don't think you can add the CPS without installing a obd2 oil pump. That code won't give you any problems, just the CEL on.

yep the sensor mounts to the oil pump.also gotta replace the lower timing belt pulley with one off a obd2 engine to make it work.i think i remember wiring the one in the distributor in paralell with the other crank sensor wiring to fool the ecu so i didnt have to swap oil pumps just to get rid of a cel.been awhile though,hopefully one of the honda guys will chime in...i have forgotten a lot about the specifics of doing it since then

oo thanx i think ima change the oil pump and pully unless any body else knows how i can fool the ecu...
