Starting issue...need help

...Its a 98 Integra GS. Car runs flawlessly, bone stock. Im not quite sure how to explain it...but ill try. Just bought the car not to long ago, and sometimes it wont start at all and i have to push start the car to get it to go. Previous owner replaced the Ignition Switch , Starter , and Battery.. I looked at them and they DO look fairly new. Ive had this problem with a couple Integras before, and eveytime its something different. But the previous owner replaced most the parts i would have thought to check out first to remedy this situation, so im open to suggestions.....

any help would be appreciated...

more info. is it turning over? or just click and nothing? what have you tried?

Do you hear the Fuel pump priming when it doesn't start?

No its not turning over and i think like one click...then nada. But yes the fuel pump does prime. Everything else works (ie lights, radio, windows etc.) just doesnt start. Randomly. Like today i fired it up with no probs got to norm running temps then took it off and fired up again as it should. But last night when i got out of work....nothing.

Honestly i havent tried anything as of yet...mainly because of work schedule, but also because its just so random. But First place I would have looked is the Battery...then starter......next ive heard the ignition switch can get kinda ifski...but as stated previous owner just changed those(seemed like an honest guy). So i was trying to maybe get a list of sugg so i can do a bit of trial and error when im off on the weekend. If it happens again ofcourse. Its annoying because its so random, or i would have a better description/diagnostics for you guys...

check grounds. and connections at the starter and battery and alt.

Start with this if you hear it clicking but not moving.

The engine runs yes? Can you turn it by hand?

Its the Clutch Safety Switch.....you know that little button at the top of the clutch pedal....well there is a little white plastic button that mount to the pedal, same thing as on the brake pedal

No clicking. just one click then nothing. Yes the engine runs, I drive it daily. And now I'm starting to notice a pattern. It fires up every morning perfectly. but when i go to start car when i get out of work at night nothing. I have to push start it about 99% of the time when i get outta work. And when it does start, idle seems lower then nornm for being a cold start...

that did help bro i actually checked that out but i forgot to mention...car has that bypassed. So i dont need to depress clutch to start car.

Well I think im catching up to the problem, and it might very well be a loose ground or connetion somewhere. My guess is where the clutch safety switch was bypassed...so i need to double check those connections. OH yea and did i forget to mention that the car has an aftermarket alarm system w/killswitch capabilities(those are always fun, if not installed and grounded correctly =[ ). the killswitch is not installed tho.

I know its not a very serious prob but i really appreciate the advice and tip...cuz im starting to feel like im using an expensive "skateboard"...always having to push start when i get outta wrk. I wouldnt mind if i had to push start to go to wrk, but when i clock out....i make a beeline straight to the house. and with starting issues it kinda kills the flow.

starter solenoid is probably bad

check and see if its getting power then if all the connections are tight. you can apply power to it directly to see if it will crank it over but if its a bad solenoid its pointless. If its getting power but doing nothing pull it off take it to advance and have them test it.
