I noticed last night when I got home that my brake lights stayed on. I tried to pull the fuses and disconnect the battery. They stayed on, I have no clue what this could be. I have a 1996 Civic LX.

j/k that's weird.I have a 1996 Civic LX
I had the same thing happen to me. I would drive around and the brake light would turn on randomly. Brake fluid fixed it.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.- Steve Jobs

mine used to set the horn off
if your talking about the brake light on the dash then its fluid. if your talking about your rear brake lights then its probably the plastic bushing under the dash. look on the floor and see if you see blue pieces.

The blue or white rubber bushing probably came off on the pedal. You can just use a bolt and nut and just have the head of the bolt facing the switch. Wont ever have an issue again.
just duck tape a quarter over the whole prob solved or bolt and nut
i jb welded a penny on the hole.
