Looking for a job?

To all out there looking for a job, if you have been looking for quite sometime and still havent found a job, its time to change up the way you're looking. I was looking for the last 7 months by just going to career builders or indeed.com and sending in my resume'. That didnt work because when you think of it, hundreds of people are doing the same thing. Network network NETWORK, talk to everybody you know and let them know you are not working and if they know of someone who knows someone needing a worker, or to fill a position. It seems these days the only people being hired is thru someone who knows someone, LOL. Times are getting bad and this is not the time to have too much pride to ask a friend or an aquaintance if their job is hiring.

By the way I did find a job thru a friend and it wasnt what I was looking for, but it is making more than unemployment and I can continue to look for other jobs. Just thought I would share some insight to thoses of us who are going thru these horrible economic times.

You know what fails, your spelling. You put a quote in your sig, but spell thieves wrong. That's what fails. Get a life before you try to hate on someone else's.

Good luck to those who have lost a job and/or those who aren't working. I was there, I know what it is.. I found a job and I wish you the best.

Well I guess you are the type that is just waiting for a job to come knock on your door. If you can't understand what I was trying to do, then help yourself.

i find actually having an education that's worth a **** helps in finding a job, i have a criminal justice degree and i found a job in no time, not like it's something i wanted to do but it's still a job and it works.

There are jobs out there and the OP is correct. You need to position yourself and come up with creative ways to make yourself stand out.

Marriott Vacation Club is ALWAYS hiring and you can make pretty good money just talking on the phone.
