right, each button is a different sound. But the really weird dubsteppy sounds don't seem to have any buttons. Or another way to explain it, is that he doesn't seem to press any new buttons when the dubsteppy sounds begin.

idk, hard to tell. watched it 2 more times.... He's definitely talented, and what's being portrayed is technically possible, but I still think there's something extra being edited in afterwards.

That's now how you create dubstep neither he's producing music. That is a midi/sampler pad. He's launching midi clips that are PRE recorded sounds via Ableton that he already created. He has a specific midi sound/clip assigned to each button/row and he's launching the clips in a certain order on top of a track he already has produced in Ableton. So with being that said, he's not actually producing a track.
