Mazda 323 Question

So quick question ...
I have been into toyota for quite some time now but decided to go into mazda and try it out. I'm about to buy a 1986 323 but just asking if there are any mazda mechanics on here that are good at doing engine swaps.

what model 323. swaping in the gtx?

I went to go see the car today and I'm pretty sure it's not the gtx model. However I am trying to put a gtx swap or a good mazda engine

i think more around 25-600 but look up performace323 or something like that or club protege.com to get more info. I think the 1.6 gtx is the only one you can put in. ive never seen 1.8 in one
