FYI to all the Orlando MIATA owners!!!
Tampa Miatas vs. Orlando Roadsters meet
this will be held on Sept. 26th, 2009 @ Lakeland Hooters (exit 32 off I-4).
Start time will be at 11am - until whenever, you choose how long you'd like to stay. I ask of those that are attending to please buy some food or drinks from Hooters since they're letting us use their parking lot to have our meet. Calls have been made for roughly 50 people/cars, I figured I might start mid-range and go from there depending on how many people are willing to make the drive out.
I would like to make a note. Since we are being given permission to use Hooters parking lot and their facilities, I must ask and remind all of those in attendance to please use common sense. I would like to be able to come back for another meet if possible, but if we can't keep our heads on straight and act like adults, neither I or Hooters themselves will allow you come to another event. This being said, we will have a strict ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY in place, this will include, but is not lmited to the following; no burnouts, no redlining your engines while moving or parked, no racing through the parking lot, no street racing, no fighting, and no acting like a complete jackass in general! I will have no problem escorting you to your car and asking you to leave immediately if you can't follow some simple rules. I understand that there will be those with exhausts or s/c, irtb, and turbo setups and would like to show them off. I will allow that, but don't go full throttle showing how loud your setup is, we dont need a db competition!! Like I said, Hooters is allowing us to be there, lets show some gratitude from us as a group for them, it only takes 1 single person to label the whole group. DON'T BE THAT PERSON! Because you you will get BANNED from future events, and possibly the local Miata forums as well!!
This is not a formally planned event, but more of a big meet & greet. Please don't expect prizes or a raffle from meI'm not much of the event coordinator, but a swap meet might not be a bad idea for those looking to sell/buy extra parts, for Miata's only though guys, no vcr's or PS2's
