A 22-year-old Seminole man is in serious condition after he put a pistol to his head and pulled the trigger in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to prove his girlfriend shouldn't be worried about the gun.

Pretty sure it was a revolver, if not then it misfired and would have to be a double-action semi-auto pistol?
