You are not seeing the big picture.

A 428 whp car vs a 557 whp car, on the same Dyno.

Old Goat makes 130 less whp.

Just so you know what was up on that race, look at it again.

The race was even all 3rd gear, and we started at 3500 rpms.
I shifted at 8000 rpms, and when the 4th gear engaged. The car settled at around 6000 rpms on 4th.
At that point, I was still right there.
And Jimmys car did not start to pull until the last 1000 rpms in 4th, from ~7000 until we stopped at 130, end of 4th.

So he basically got me by 3 cars and it was the last 1000 rpms or 60~70 feet of the race.

I proved my point.

A car making 130~150 more whp than me would have pulled instantly and put a train load of cars on me.

Point, like I sayed, that car is not making the power that is on paper.
It did 126 plus mhp at the track, with 557 Mustang Dyno HP, the mph should have been more, and he should have pulled my car alot more than it did.

Which was my argument all alone.

Maybe if you both started the race at a higher rpm there would be a different outcome. How much lag does the big turbo have at 3500 rpm?

3500 rpms was a good start for both of us. We both break boosted.

Jimmy car is a IX, but he is got Evo VIII gears in his Shep Tranny.

That helped him in this race. If he had the stock Evo IX gears in there, he would have had to shift earlier on 3rd, and shift again to go into 5th.

Evo VIII 4th gears, you can go to 130 mph.

I think Jimmy told me his 4th goes to 127 with his Shep Tranny as his Revs limits to 7900 rpms, to my 8100 rpms limit.

It was a good race, and Jimmys car actually spools very quick as you can see in the race.

His car traped about 127 mph, so it is very fast.

We are going to race again next week.

He is geting springs and retainers to go to higher rpms on top.

I am going to have a new Turbo in as well, so we will see if those changes make a difference for both of us.

Its you who wanted to race, thats right you set it up, not me or jimmy. You thought you had something. You were by his side where? you got pulled from the beginning. And you justify the fact that you raced him from 3500rpm when the car spools at 5000rpm.

Just show me the plethora of stock block evos trapping 130+ please, cause it seems that there are many.

All numbers aside the car trapped 126mph and yours is a 118-120mph car. So at the end of the day its faster period. whether 400whp or 1000whp.

I am damn sure it would be different. He is fully spooled by 3700rpm while the 6262 spools at 5000rpm.
