TTP tunes the stock turbo Evo IX to 438whp methanol injection!

Daniel came to us with a 2006 Evo 9 MR from South Florida a few hours away. As soon as we saw it, immediately we knew our work looked familiar. Its funny being in this business for some time and see the same Evo's come back to us, owner after owner.

Some of our work we noticed was the Zeitronix wideband system in the car, complete with LCD display, boost sensor, Forge UNOS MBC, turboback exhaust and EXEDY twin HD which we installed a few years ago.

This time around, Daniel wanted to take the Evo to a new level of performance. Take advantage of the existing turbo and use everything its got in it. He wanted to take the car the rest of the way from where the prior owner was headed.

Daniel entrusted in us to install the Kelford MIVEC cams he had purchased from us, along with ARP headstuds, supertech single springs and retainers, TTP-Engineering Methanol injection system, TTP tubular O2 housing, Forge Evo IX high boost wastegate actuator, Megan Racing tubular manifold and Fidanza adjustible camgear for the exhaust cam.

Dan had a special request for a baseline dyno before any work was completed. We really never do this because of time constraints and the chore of strapping and unstrapping the car for one pull is kind of retarded. We had a few extra minutes so we went ahead and baselined the car. It had been tuned before for the mods. The car was leaner than we agreed with but we went ahead and completed the full pull regardless since he had been driving around with the car with that tune in it for some time now. We did not find our signature in the ROM file so we believe it was tuned by another company previously.

The baseline numbers are here:

In short time we had Daniel's parts installed and his Evo strapped to the dyno. We carefully mapped the engine's stock ECU with the methanol injection system engaged and was able to achieve some great tire shredding results:

Here is the graph overlay from the lean AFR baseline 93 to the 93 + TTP Methanol injection system tuned by us:
