Under the bonnet...Toyotar. Lmao gotta love British folks.
So, yes, lets go compare a $27,995 to a $65,690 lol. Ugh, Mustang haters never cease. Anyways, it is a cool little car, and its damn fast! |

I'd rather have the Lotus, but I would have to be absent in the perspective of price however.

Should have used a forced induction mustang to give it a much better comparison.

i agree a more comparable priced mustang should have been used. i did chuckle when he motioned the invisible "torque." I have the same engine and comparable (if not the same i don't recall) supercharger and have 0 torque. though i'm sure if mine weighed 1000lbs less it may feel significantly different.

The supercharger evens things out. No need for the Mustang to have FI.

Well I personally I don't hate Mustangs. You know that, we've talked before.

I would have liked to have seen the test with the Mustang on the same tires. Then we got a comparision.

But I believe it would have been more fair to strip all the **** out that the Lotus doesn't have. I bet they ran the Mustang with a spare tire, too.

Yeah... I love this car. But running it against a plain balls GT is BS. Even the GT500 would have been a better comparo at only $43k...

What are you talking about "race prepped"? Both vehicles are unmodified and stock as they come off the dealership floors. ![]() It's not a stupid comparison, it's a valid race - stock for stock. With the displacement the Mustang has, you would think it could actually put the power it makes at the crank to the wheels in a better way. Would it have been as retarted if the Mustang would have won, are you being biased? Last edited by compsciboi; 05-06-2009 at 11:18 AM. |
