They are getting their prices from what stuff currently costs, no one gives a shit how much you paid so stop being a one upping know it all and fuck off.

Also, this is currently the cheapest 55 inch at tiger direct and it's a refurb.

I cant help but read everything he says in a 12yr old spoiled kid - know it all - my dad can beat up your dad - everyone else is a hater - voice [rolling his eyes up and over while he speaks too]

Put him and Kanye West in a room together and let them fight it out.

Well it just seems like nobody shops around. $1000 for a 55" TV in 2013 is insanity. Also don't bother with 3d, that fad is over. A $40 MK808B turns any TV into a smart tv. Hell, my boat's 24" LED has one.

Best bang for the buck? DLP. I purchased my 57" Mitsubishi 1080p 6 color DLP back in 2008 for $450 open box. 5 years later, one $50 bulb and one $100 mirror chip and it still looks like the day it was new. Granted, don't put it in a small room as they are very cool looking space heaters. I think it has the best picture quality out of all the technologies, but in the age of slim tv's hung on a wall DLP just doesn't fit in.

I was not impressed with 3D tvs. I ordered a projector that just so happened to have it, then took a plunge and bought a single pair of RF wifi glasses for it. Everyone that sees it comments about how different it is from others. I have since bought one extra pair.

I just ordered Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, and Star Trek: ID in 3D versions.

    Now I have:
    Avengers
    Hobbit
    Harry Potter 7&8
    Jurassic Park
    Thor
    Captain 'Murica
    Transformers 3
    Finding Nemo
    Wreck it Ralph
    Brave
    Train your Dragon
    Despicable Me

The animated stuff is obviously made 3D so it is really good. Nemo is ridiculous.

I think what made it a Fad is that people arent seeing good versions of them. They go the cheap way and get cheap results. Mines crystal clear and not fuzzy if you know what I mean.

i am really happy with it.

3D will be back when glasses-less technology becomes more mature.

You can't stream pandora or di.fm just yet on chromecast. Does anyone actually have any in stock too? I'm waiting to actually be able to stream anything to my tv as it would be really awesome for when I goto friends houses and just put movies on my phone and stream them.
