Have you checked out amazon? These are relatively cheap and easy to find there. The only canon mount one I know of locally was in my last department, and it's not for sale.

thanks. yea i checked amazon and its my last resort i guess. I wanted to pick one up locally to save the shipping and time ( i want the lens before the weekend )

Now that I think of it, I remember seeing one at best buy (assuming you meant a 70-300). Can't remember the price, but I'll assume it was heavily marked up. Have you tried any of the local camera stores?
